Fishing in Halifax or St Johns

Hi all...I just booked a cruise that will be in Halifax and Stjohns in the first week of September. I understand this is a resteraunt board but any info about where I might be able to do some fishing around the area where the cruise ships dock would be greatly appreciated. I am sailing from Brooklyn on Sept 3rd on the Caribbean Princess with stops in Haliax & St Johns. I am a avid salt water fisherman looking for charters, party boats even fishing piers to fishing while I'm there. We also stop in Newport RI, & Bar Harbour, ME
I'm packing a surf pole & boat rod hoping I get to use them. I plan to speak to the consignier upon boarding.
