I'm heading to Vancouver to work for a week or so, and I'm looking for a place that might serve my Atkins needs.
I'm a huge fan of Churrascaria/Rodizio-
(On a recent visit to San Antonio I spend most evenings at Do Brazillia, and during the course of a week in New Jersey I hit Churrascaria Plataforma twice and Green Field twice.)
So...where can a hungry dinosaur such as myself find satisfaction in the Pacific Northwest ?

Easy - Memphis Blues Barbecue House - It's out-freakin'-standing. They actually get it almost right. It's just east of Granville on Broadway.

For whats it's worth it gets voted as the top meat spot consistantly, which I concur is usually not a good indicator, but is in this instance.

Well all dinosaurs should go to the "Dino Room" - which is what I call Hy's Steak House! It is a true throwback to the era of the original steak house, dark, a little dingy, waitresses that have been there since the dawn of time... you get the idea. The downside - you can't have (I am assuming) their fantastic cheesebread on Atkins... perhaps a little slide off the program for one night?? It is truly fantastic! Enjoy Vancouver!

This is one area where Vancouver is lacking. May I suggest going to Seattle and trying Daniel's Broiler. Great steaks and sides.

It is called Samba's and is downstairs where the Keg used to be. I haven't heard much about it though.

Generally downtown the choices are: Keg, local chain, the above-mentioned Samba's, Hy's, Gotham, 900 West and Mortons. Maybe a few more around but those come to mind.
