Canmore, Alberta

I'll be there one night and would like to know where to eat dinner. I'm not necessarily looking for the most expensive place, but I am definitely in search of the most delicious. It's OK if they're one and the same, but something casual will work equally well as long as the food is great. Also, I'm staying at A Bear and Bison Inn. Anyone have an opinion on it or the restaurant there?

Btw, I've checked out some earlier posts -- I'll definitely be hitting Valbella Meats for lunch.

If you're willing to go to Banff, I'd recommend the Grizzly Bear restaurant. It's fondue and hot rocks, and it has different kinds of meats like snake and ostrich.

A bunch of us went to Quarry last weekend, and the elk cannelloni (one of the specials) was delicious! Makes me wish Canmore was closer to Edmonton.

Try Crazyweed. It's downtown, and doesn't have much seating, but their everchanging creations are awesome. Not the place for an intimate dinner though. If that's what you're looking for try Des Alpes. It's a Swiss restaurant with consistent quality food.
