Fine food store in Victoria?

Can someone give a visitor the name of a fine food store in Victoria? The sort of place that carries Reggiano Parmesan, good anchovies, whole grain mustard, several kinds of olives. I want to buy presents for my hosts.

    From June 1998:

To find the kind of store you need, stop by the Herald St. Cafe (still owned and run today by the same chef) and I bet they can help you.

Herald St. Cafe was suggested to us (whispered and off the record) by the concierge at the fancy Canadian Pacific Hotel down by the harbor. She was right, and there wasn't a tourist in sight.

    Good luck.
