I work in mississauga and am desperately searching for good lunchtime meals. Any recs? I'm close to hurontario and eglinton but am willing to within a 5-10k radius.

  1. Dixie Park Mall(Dixie+Eastgate)has a killer, mainly Chinese food court that offers great food at decent prices. Tandoori Time on Burhamthorpe just east of Mavis is dependable and tasty. Further west along Burnhamthorpe and south on Central Parkway(Creditview north of Burnhamthorpe)is a warren of small Chinese restos clustered around the big H&H Supermarket.Kumai Sushi on Hurontario(east side) just south of Britannia is good genuine Japanese. Tell us what you like if none of this works?

    1. El Sombrero (right next door to Kumai Sushi) in small plaza on Brunel (east of Hwy 10, one block south of Britannia) is the best place for Mexican in GTA!
Better burritos than Burrito Boyz downtown!

I've always wondered about El Sombrero as we pass by that plaza everyday!

Thanks for the recommendation...I'll try it out someday.

Me and my co-workers go to El Sombrero atleast once a week, it's that good. Other than the flour tortillas (not corn) it's as authentic as you can get. And super friendly staff. Viva El Sombrero!

el sombrero is great. the burrito wet with the garlic red sauce is fantastic, as is everything else. its like home-cooked chipotle, but cheaper and way better.

+1 another vote for el sombrero

best mexican i've had in the entire GTA, let alone mississauga

+1 more. Had lunch there today and the enchiladas are fantastic, gf had the chicken burrito wet, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I can see why people go there on a weekly basis.

      2. There's also Pho Mi 99 in the Toys R Us plaza at the S/W corner of Hurontario and Eglinton.

          oops, South East corner.

        2. Italian Express Cafe on Eglinton, just east of Tomken, has excellent italian food.

Just go before 12:00 or you'll be waiting in line for a while

          1. I have been to many Pho restaurants all over Missi, and would have to say the best is located at on Cawthra in a plaza just north of Dundas on the west side. Their broths are incredible, and their regular dishes are good too. I'd also strongly recommend their shakes.

              I have to concur.

            2. Try Pho Fuzion, Mavis & Bristol.

Not a chain, everything I've had is excellent.

              1. Emerald Garden has excellent dim sum. It is usually very crowded, so it is best to get there early.
