Has anyone been here?
Looking for a nice Thai place near work?

Been there last about a year ago and found it to be a good experience. Pretty good flavours and good prices. They managed to accomodate the spice palates of our group ranging from 'no ground pepper please' to 'bring on the heat.' Good casual spot for a good casual meal.

Is this the restaurant on Eglinton near Renforth? I used to have EXCELLENT take-out from when it was a vegetarian place about 3 years ago. I noticed this new place recently. What's good to eat?

There's a vietnamese restaurant in the 2005's top 10 list called "hanoi 3 seasons" located at 588 Gerrard st. East at Broadview or phone 416-463-9940. Excellent food and services. Strongly recommended.

I live around the corner from there and the food is really good. I usually get the green curry shrimp, but everything else that I have tried has been really good as well - spring rolls, coconut rice, cold rice noodle salad with peanut sauce, pad thai, etc. The restaurant is nice for dine-in, but they also offer delivery service, which is great!

      Definitely worth a try!

I tried this place for the first time and I found the quality to be very good and the service to be right on par. I certainly hope it's not hit and miss as I'm reading because I am planning to go back there again sometime shortly.

Spoon & fork is excellent, i have been to three of their locations. My fave was clarkson which closed due to lease expiry only. Their shrimp chips to die for and the eggplant super delish as well as their pad thai. I have never had anything but excellent food and service from all three locations.

I went to the location near Hwy 7and the 400 last spring. After sharing 6 mains with 5 friends, I thought Spoon and Fork was overpriced for what it was- very average Thai food. The spring rolls stand out as being especially underwhelming and small. I think we had a green curry that was ok.If I recall correctly, it ended up costing close to $40/ person, for roughly the same amount of food that would cost closer to $20-$25/ person downtown.

JJ Thai in Streetsville is part of this restaurant chain IIRC

You're right and also Prince Sushi at Courtney Park and Hurontario.

All of these restaurants are ok but they're not authentic or great. For the price, you can find better in GTA West. I find these AYCE places in line with a Milestones but with an Asian menu.

JJ Thai is incredibly greedy actually, makes me almost want to boycott the place. Their AYCE is $28.99 per person and it comes with NO desserts at all, not even a scoop of ice cream, it's a seperate menu. And they serve fountain pop with no refills, so your 2cent drink costs $2.99 each refill.. I try to avoid pop now anyways but it's still a slap in the face when their entire buffet is already incredibly expensive and comes with none of the perks of a standard AYCE.. Food is like you said, ok, nothing great. Would much rather support Hockey Sushi at Hurontario & Ray Lawson instead
