How about Hot House? Solid food, friendly service. I believe it's right on the northeast corner of Front and Church.

Bravi is right beside Pravda and from what I remember they have good Italian fare.

The infamous Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar is just around the corner on Church (you'd have to make dinner resos...not too sure you'd get a seat at the chef's table esp. if with a group), south of Front as is Le Papillon(though the reviews aren't that great) and the Keg.

There's also the Bier Market on the Esplanade (they have some good eats for sharing) and C'est What on Front for more casual fare.

At Yonge and Wellington is The Irish Embassy.

And if you want something more chi chi, Ki is west on Wellington at Bay (inside of BCE Place).

Good Luck!
