The Spoke Club

I have a business meeting at The Spoke Club next week. What's the word on this place? I'm already expecting it to be a tired affair filled with poncey, solipsistic assholes, but am hoping at the very least I might grab a good meal.
With those expectations, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Seriously, I've been there a bunch of times and its surprisingly laid-back and inviting. The main room is quite nice - modern with lots of warm and textured neutrals - and the food is pretty to very good. Current chef is Paul Boehmer (Ultra). I usually have one of their fish dishes - pan-seared or a fish sandwich. Some people rave about the burgers but I wasn't so wowed. Service is typically friendly but spotty and I find it a bit pricey for what it is.
The only thing missing from your preview is the bad food and crappy service. However, with expectations like that you have nowhere to go but up.

Menu is small, but food is very good. Lovely room with a great atmosphere and interesting people. Enjoy.
