Queen Pita

Has anyone been to this place on Queen East, beside Edward Levesque's kitchen? I'd like a cheap, yummy take-out place for dinner.

Go all the time. It's much better than your garden-variety falafel joint. They have a very loyal following in Leslieville.

Do you have any recommendations as to what to order?

I always go for the falafel plate ($5), but the shawarma is good, as are the grilled veggies and lentil soup. It's all very fresh.
The owner has worked all over the world as a chef in big hotels, but is now just doing this little shop with his sons.

Someone in the family eats there at least twice a week. Have the chicken shwarma, it's fresh, delicious and if you like hot, get extra hot sauce. The baba ganouj is smoky velvet.
