And need some suggestions. I've read the user reviews on citysearch and they're very hot and cold. Anybody been there recently?

Curious.. how was Toi? What was your menu strategy? Hits, misses? Details! :)

It was pretty good. There were 3 of us and we tried a bunch. There was a tie between the prawn satay and the beef dish (sorry, I can't remember the name of it, but it's not a curry) listed on the back side of the menu. We tried the lettuce cups (only ok) and the green coconut curry with beef, which I liked, but I've had better. Overall, great atmosphere, although one of my pet peeves was in full effect---a smoking area in the bar that supposedly ends 2 feet from the non-smoking area, which consists of the booths against the wall. Honestly, there were people smoking 2 feet from us, yet we were in the "non-smoking" section.
I would go back mostly because I liked the atmosphere and the prices are right, although they'll get you with the coctails....

Was the dining room so full that you couldn't be reseated away from the smoke? Do they still have the upstairs seating area that the Dahlia Lounge did?

I know this thread is a few weeks old, but has anyone else seen the velvet rope and doormen with headsets along with a huge line outside Toi? Nuts!
