Best night we've had in a restaurant in a long while. We found out from our waiter that the resto had just been bought by the original owner's son and one of the waiters who have been there for many many years. Highly recommend the spot for a romantic evenign with someone special or a fun evening with friends. Great food (best Eggplant Parm I've ever had) the service was also 100%, you feel like you're having dinner in someone's home and they are a welcoming host. It had the same original owner, Vittorio Masi. Masi died suddenly a couple of years ago and I believe Vittorio's may be run now by his son Jason. Cico worked with Vittorio for years and, under Vittorio's superior tutelage and guidance learned everything from the importance of identifying and utilizing fresh ingredients to the pairing of wines with the signature dishes served, to this day, on the delicious and familiar menu. Vittorio's legacy of warmly greeting patrons and friends at the door and ensuring superb service and wonderful food lives on through Cico and Vittorio's son, Jason. The food was just below being OK (I think that I did have the gorganzola gnocchi and I was not impressed), the wait staff were almost non-existent. The only way I knew they were there was that they were all collected by the bar and talking amongst themselves, even though I was trying to call our waiter over without have to resort to shouting. All in all, most of the evening was spent waiting. Waiting a long time for the food, waiting a long time for the waiter, waiting a long time for them to process my credit card.
