Where can I buy the best (Korean) walnut cakes in the city?
Hodokwaja is the best. There are two walnut cake stores on Bloor between Christie and Bathurst spaced a block apart. The more easterly shop closer to the Bathurst side is the best one. Enjoy!
Thanks! I'll check em out.
Hojo Kwada's are very good (3 varieties, 6/$1.10 last time I was there). Their Korean pancakes also make a tasty treat - think a pancake with the syrup, or brown sugar in this case, already in it.
HodoKwaja's at 656 Bloor St. West are definitely the best ones. $1.25 for 6 walnut cakes, either walnut-filled or almond-filled.
I like the ones from Canaan Cakes on Spring Garden near Yonge & Sheppard.
I had a hankerin for some Korean Walnut Cakes (redbean) and was wondering if there are any shops that sell them (make them too, prefered) out here in Mississauga. Sadly, making the trek down to KoreaTown isn't that feasible. >sigh<
