Not recommended. I had a horrible experience there recently.
    Horrible food. Sub standard service.

This was during the lunch rush. Maybe if you go at a not so busy time you'll do better.

I didn't find that at all. I've enjoyed the one on Toronto Street - worked in the area up until a year ago, and ate there several times. I always liked it.

Well, it's not fine dining, more like a few steps above a cafeteria, but I like it. It's cheap, noisy, cheerful and they do good simple food. They don't pretend to be anything they are not, just simple Italian food.

It is really loud at lunch. too loud for me. But, the food is quite good. The service is on and off. If you get there at a decent hour, you should be good.

I've had decent experiences there. Their antipasto bar is pretty good. Pizza is so-so (Spinello on Colborne is better for pizza). Salad and sandwiches are good. Lunch can be a zoo though so I'd avoid it at lunch.

I heard Spinello was dead and gone. That the new place on the block is called Colborne or sumthin'. Is this untrue?

Spinello does appear to be dead and gone. I think the new place is "Colborne Lane" and it is opening in November in the soon to be former Cafe Du Marche space :(

Been there about 3 in the summer, always lunch. Someone above rightly pointed out that it is loud inside - I like to sit on the patio, and probably won't go there in the colder months.

Service has always been outstanding for me. I dine with a friend who has a very strict 1-hour lunch and she is always, to my dismay, very hurried with the staff. They were always more than accomodating.

For the price, the food is more than acceptable to me. Having a sit-down lunch in the financial core with good food and some wine, without making my Visa groan, is welcome for me.
