Haven't tried or heard of Banana Leaf, but there is a very good Thai Takeout/Delivery place on Yonge between Eglinton and Lawrence called Sorn Thai (416 322-3563). It also has eat-in lunch specials that are an excellent value. Excellent Hot & Sour soup (not really Thai), very good curries, basil chicken and Pad Thai that is usually good, but a little inconsistent. Highly recommended. If looking for a real Thai experience ask for some Nam Pla Prik (Fish Sauce with chilis) on the side to add some flavour/spice to the dishes and rice.
Enjoy.

If you mean the place in the little walkway by Yonge and Bloor, I have been there several times. Their red curry chicken with eggplant is really tasty. I've been disappointed with just about everything else I've tried. Nearby Ginger and Saigon Sister on Yonge Street have a broader selection of good dishes.
