Sapphire - Quite a good meal

My friend who is a vegitarian wanted to eat outside someplace where parking would be feasible on a Monday night. I had lots of suggestions but she vetoed them for various reasons. Since she was working on Queen Anne, we decided to see what we could find.
Sapphire is open to the street and was welcoming. The menu included many things which appealed and there is a back porch, very un-fancy which was perfect.
Between the 2 of us, we had 4 starter plates and they were all very good. The soup was a pureed tomato and garbanzo bean - I would not have defined it as pureed other than the tomato part but I preferred it chunky. Then we had a flatbread, that night done with cheese and apple (which worked very very well - similar to their Sapphire salad except for the greens). Their Spanish Flatbread is not as thick as pita style flatbread but not cracker thin either.
We also shared a Chefs Platter which was a great deal for $10. Lots of various veggies including fresh fennell, eggplant, mushrooms, green beans (actually haricot vert, potatos .... plus 2 shrimp (good but too spicey to taste the shrimp flavor), fresh mozzarella and who knows what else. All well flavored - some almost a bit too spicey but I'm a wimp.
The final dish was a warm salad with great goat cheese, nice greens and walnuts. Excellent.
The cost for the 4 dishes was $30 and the two of us were both stuffed. Would clearly go again.
