Fairmont Royal York, Front St. W., Toronto, 416-860-5050, http://www.fairmont.com. The Imperial Room offers a buffet at noon, 3 or 6:30 p.m that includes a Santa visit, Kids Korner and carollers for $99 ($49 for children aged 6 to 12). Epic has a festive five-course dinner at 4 or 4:30, and 7:30 or 8 p.m., with flamenco guitarist and Santa visit for $89 (children ages 6 to 12 are half-price). The hotel sells a "Turkey To Go" meal package.
Four Seasons Hotel, 21 Avenue Rd., Toronto, 416-963-6919, http://www.fourseasons.com. Avenue has a festive brunch from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for $60. Studio Cafe has a three-course Christmas lunch and dinner for $55. Truffles offers a four-course table d'hote Christmas diner from 4 to 9 p.m. for $130. There is a "Turkey To Go" Christmas dinner package.
Fran's will be open 24 hours, serving a $22.99 turkey dinner, at two locations: 20 College St., Toronto, 416-923-9867; in the Panatages Suites Hotel building at 210 Victoria St., Toronto, 416-304-0085.

It's that time of the year again. We have historically gone to the Old Mill but are looking for something new - has anyone been to the Studio Cafe at the Four Seasons or the Intercontinental?

I went to Studio Cafe for the first time in the summer (for Summerlicious). This may or may not be reflective of their usual menu, but the meal I had was quite good. The best part was dessert - they had an awesome panna cotta with a lemon grass sauce that I loved.

Studio Cafe is great now and has been for years. Pretty room, professional service, good selection in food and wine. Reservations a must.

I went to Truffles (not Studio Cafe) on Dec 25th Christmas dinner. It was such an awesome meal ~ food and ambiance was just excellent. You may also want to consider that. It definitely requires reservations.
