Cumberland Sausage

  • l

Anyone know where I can get Cumberland Sausage in Toronto? I had some in London and *loved* it, but haven't had much luck finding it here. I even checked with my butcher ay St. Lawrence Market.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

  1. Not familiar with this sausage, but you might try Superior Sausage on Dundas west, close to Bellwoods park.
They are in the phone book.

Is that an actual sausage place? I pass by it often, and just figured that it USED to be a sausage place that closed down sometime in the last century, and just never bothered to take the sign down.

How is it? I presume that it's of portuguese or italian heritage?

No,I'm guessing it was initially Eastern European and
may still be. Similar to European Meats in Kensington. They sell great sausages.
I haven't been there in about 2 yrs as I moved out of the area.
They've been there for 27 years, so it may pre date the Portuguese influx.
