Thai Restaurant in Etobicoke

  • t

Do they exist? Outside of the over-hyped Green Mango, that is. I haven't heard any reviews of Jasmine Rice across from Sherway Gardens. I am based in the 427 & Queensway area - any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  1. I've been to one I really like called My Thai Kitchen located on Bloor St. at Montgomery (near Islington) It's family run and the food is very tasty in my opinion.

I also like Thai Queen in the Kingsway. There are lots of great restaurants in the Kingsway (Bloor/Royal York). If you're looking for a good breakfast place, check out Creme de la Creme.

Try Thai Delite on The Queensway (East of Parklawn) ... I find it a little more authentic than "generic" Green Mango. Tel: 416-252-1899

I tried 'Thai Queen' in the Kingsway for lunch on Friday! Excellent food, great prices ($7.95 lunch combo includes a soft drink when dining in). I ordered the Cashew Chicken spicy.

Enjoy your meal there. Good service too.

Unfortunately, against my better judgement, I tried the Green Mango at Bloor & Royal York. I have to say it was worse than I could have ever imagined. It took 40 mins before the waiter came to take our order. The food then took another 45 mins to get to our table. It was cold and tasteless. The bill came to $44.73 with spring rolls and lunch combos (which really aren't "combos" at all) for four people. We left $45.00 even and will never return there ever again.

I have had much better experiences at Green Mango on Bloor & Runnymede.
