  1. The last time I was there I had their risotto, and it was heavenly. I also had their lobster bisque which was also fabulous..

I took my husband there for his birthday - it was great. A beautiful setting, quality service and really tasty food. A nice choice for a special meal.

        Thank you all.
Last minute friend in from New York.
We went to Mistura last night.
The atmosphere was very comfortable, and everyone was smiling.
The servers were low key, and very aware of our needs.
We started with the warm mushroom salad, and my husband had the grilled squid.
The squid was definitely the winner.
        Mains
Haddock encrusted with transparent slices of potato.
Our N.Y. guest finished the large portion to the last mouthful, and proounced it "delicious".
My husband said that the very thick calf liver almost
equalled his favourite restaurant in Paris, and this is quite a feat.
My duck two ways was good, but served tepid.
The sliced duck breast had been reheated and was slightly overcooked.
The confrit, was not fatty and quite tasty.
The leg was sitting on a beautiful, perfectly shaped nest of shredded potato, spinich and watercress.
The chef came over to the tables to chat.
I would return, although my meal was slightly disappointing.

For my money, Mistura is one of the best restaurants in the city. Wonderful food, fantastic friendly service, Massimo and Paulo, (the owners and chef/front of house) are wonderful. Lamb ribs are outstanding!

      3. The one on Eglinton? Quite a bad restaurant. The opposite of what a true Chowhound seeks.

My department went to Cilantro for lunch once and were unimpressed. Meagre portions and haughty attittude. Don't even think about trying to share appetizers (we ordered a grilled calamari was barely one mouthful for one person).
