Any good ethnic recommendations for Burlington. Popular spots seem to be Italian or Steak. I also haven't been able to find good seafood many places. Any small shops selling ethnic groceries, especially Chinese, Indian or Middle East?

There is a great middle eastern grocery right next to a restaurant called Tarboosh (which is a good Lebanese restaurant) on Plains Road just West of Brant Street. The store is a Hasty Market I think, but it is stocked with lots of Middle Eastern foods.

There used to be a good oriental grocery, but it is gone now.

Bahn Thai on Appleby and Fairview has decent Thai food (by Burlington standards). Sotiris on Plains Rd has okay Greek, again not fantastic but okay. There is a Vietnamese restaurant downtown - haven't tried it yet though. There's a chain called Montfort (one on Brant & Fairview, another opening on Upper Middle & Walkers) that has Mediteranean food for good $.

As for Asian grocery, I haven't seen anything in Burlington - I go to P.A.T. in Mississauga.
