I'm looking for traditional french pastries; is this place worth trying?

  1. Yes, Fleur de Lys isn't bad. You may also want to try Rahier on Bayview south of Eglinton, Celestin on Mt.Pleasant south of Eglinton, or Patachou on Yonge between the Summerhill and Rosedale Subway stops.

We finally got to Rahier a few weeks ago, the pastries are beautiful works of art that taste as good as they look. We made a selection of five or so miniatures, they were all excellent. The fruit coulis were more intense than I've ever tasted.

The staff was helpful and friendly.

Thanks! I'll have to give those a try.

I posted my comments Re: Rahier under "Pastry Shops".
          Good spot. Go early.
