Dinner this weekend

  • l

Hi everyone,
Coming to Toronto from Rochester, NY this weekend with 15 year old daughter to see Hairspray. Got the "It's Time for a little Toronto" package which gives us a choice of several restaurants. Could you please help me pick one of these - I have no clue which one we would enjoy - my choices are Filet of Sole, Alice Fazooli's, Big Daddy's Crab Shack, Fred's Not Here, Strip House and several others. Looking to go very casual with maybe a funky atmosphere. All opinions welcome - thanks so much for your help!!

  1. A couple of those places may not allow kids under 19 - whatever you decided, call and check.

    1. Freds Not here, is a great small place especially if it is a nice day and you sit on the patio and watch the people go by... Food is good

Alice Fazoolies I find is OK for a large group but too big for 2 and the food is nothing special.

Big Daddys is pretty good but why come to Toronto for New Orleans food...

Exactly what I was going to say! I'd recommend going to Fred's Not Here with your 15 year old - kinda funky, cozy, and food is good and it's a restaurant (vs. bar category which doesn't allow minors).

Filet of Sole has decent seafood, interesting decor, so another decent option, but not sure if your teenager is into seafood.

        Have fun!
