Brunch on the Danforth?

I want to go out for brunch with friends, somewhere in Riverdale preferably. Does anyone know of a decent brunch place that won't be terribly crowded?

I love the brunch at Il fornello on Danforth near Pape and because it's so large it's not usually a problem getting a table.

Allen's is pretty good too but sometimes crowded. Bonjour Brioche and Hello Toast are great but you almost always have to wait for a table.

Bonjour B and Hello T are good, but both on Queen East...a bit removed from the Danforth

I would recommend Lisa's Cafe and Kitchen which is located on Carlaw, just south of Dundas on the east side. It serves a great brunch. Food is hot and prepared with style.

Live music on the weekends. Delicious and cheap compared to the places that offer all you can eat.

I second this motion! Lisa is actually a caterer, and has excellent custom omelette's, hot dishes, salads, pastries. She's there every week-end making sure it all works right.

This one is definitely worth checking out.

Mocha Mocha -- on the south side of Danforth, just east of Logan.

Very casual, order at the counter & they bring it to your table. Always fresh food, generous servings -- excellent quiche, omelettes, salads, etc.

I recommend it highly for quick, inexpensive, yet high quality meals (any day of the week).
