Brazilian BBQ

  • b

I like what I've read on this site so far. Hats off to you true Chowhounds out there!

Does anyone know of a Brazilian BBQ place in the GTA? I'm looking for the kind that come around to each table where the server will carve pieces of meat off of skewers. I believe that it is another all-you-can-eat concept. Thanks for your assistance!

  1. Not sure if this is what you're talking about. I have never been but I read a Star review that was positive and described a lot of meat consumption.

If anyone has first hand experience please respond as I like the meats too.

Alas, this isn't quite the same concept though the menu does look interesting. I heard that you also have cards on your table. Something like green on one side which tells the waiter to keep the food coming and red on the other which says I should've worn an elastic waistband. Thanks for the reply!

There used to be a Brazilian BBQ place on Steeles west of Yonge, but it was short lived & closed about 4 years ago. It was pretty good while it lasted though.

As for Sky Ranch, I went in the summer shortly after it was reviewed in the Star. The meat was very tasty. I had the ribs, hubby had the mixed grill (which he had trouble finishing - shocking!). I thought it was good value for the money. We went during the week, so I can't comment on the live entertainment.

BTW - Canada's food laws prohibit importing South American meat, so what you are getting is not the real deal. For that, you will need to go to Buenos Aires.

      2. I'm afraid we don't have that yet. I went to Fogo de Chao while in the US and has missed it ever since.

For those of you meat-eaters who hasn't tried it before, you should check it out when you go to the US...

I will DEFINITELY keep that restaurant in mind! Thank you, Chowhound!

I don't know of any Rodizio style restaurants (which, if my sketchy portuguese serves me, is what those are called) in Toronto, unfortunately. Though, a google search just now turns up a listing for a restaurant called Rodizio on College St that might be worth checking into.
