If you are willing to venture out to Etobicoke there is a great Ukrainian restaurant called Wally's (there might be one in Mississauga too) Etobicoke location is a strip mall on Dundas just east of Kipling, on north side of street.

Wally's, my friends, is an Etobicoke institution - it's been there forever, bless them. Everyone I know who's ever lived in Etobicoke knows Wally's. It's just slightly divey (with that "tavern in the local plaza" decor), and serves hearty, anti-Atkins food. The quality is good, although I wouldn't put them in any top-ten lists. I'm not sure if I'd quite call it a Ukrainian restaurant (more like all-purpose Mittel-European?), but they go have perogies, as well as cabbage rolls, schnitzel, etc.
Brings back memories. Maybe it's time for me to trek out to Dundas & Kipling to taste their "Continental" special (perogies, cabbage roll, schnitzel, mashed potatoes) again...
